Andres Iniesta has been given the green light to return to action after spending the entire summer recuperating from an injury.Barcelona medics told the midfielder that he was fully fit after a round of tests on Wednesday morning saw him come through without any problems.
On May 10, Iniesta suffered a small tear in his thigh but he played through the pain to help the Blaugrana win the Champions League in Rome later that same month.
That encounter saw his condition worsen slightly and the Barca favourite has had to forego his summer holidays in order to regain his fitness.
As well as missing out on pre-season training, Iniesta was also unable to play for Spain in the Confederations Cup in June or the World Cup qualifiers that are taking place this week.
Barca have also been busy without their star as they have won the Supercopa de Espana against Athletic Club and claimed the UEFA Super Cup last month with victory over Shakhtar Donetsk in Monaco.
Iniesta will be named in Pep Guardiola's squad for the game against Getafe at the weekend, but it is unlikely that he will start.
