BARCELONA

Victor Valdes - 5: Gave Karadeniz a lot of room to aim at for the second goal and conceded twice when having so little to do.

Dani Alves - 5.5: More impressive in the first half than the second, but the Brazilian could not produce a cross or pass to earn Barca something.

Iniesta - 6: His frustration was evident as he was kicked and clipped and was unable to create the chances he can.

Pedro - 5: Could have done more in the first half when afforded a good deal of space on the left, but had a good chance after the break before going off.

Messi - 5.5: Marked superbly by the Rubin defence and while he may have claimed for several fouls, the referee was not interested.

Ibrahimovic - 7: Took his goal superbly and hammered a shot against the bar in an area where he had little room in which to manoeuvre.

Keita - 5: Also was unable to have the effect that Guardiola would have liked when he entered in the second period.
