Márquez out of Athletic game

Rafa Márquez is out of the FC Barcelona squad for the game against Athletic Club after showing signs of having picked up the H1N1 virus. The defender will undergo tests to confirm
and has been replaced in the squad by Andreu Fontàs.
After Éric Abidal and Yaya Touré both contracted the illness on Friday they were both excluded from Pep Guardiola’s 18-man squad for the trip to San Mamés. Now Márquez has joined them and will have an examination to see whether he has the same strain of the virus.
The club’s medical team are continuing to work hard and maintain the protocols laid down to deal with the virus in order to prevent it spreading any further.
