FC Barcelona 5-1 Ceuta (32th Finals Copa del Rey 2010/2011)

Wednesday, November 10, 2010

Barcelona has defeated Ceuta 5-1 (7-1 on aggregate) to progress to the next stage of the Copa del Rey.

Barcelona have progressed to the fifth round of the Copa del Rey after dismantling Ceuta 5-1 on Wednesday evening at the Camp Nou.

The Blaugrana were already two goals up from last month's first-leg, and chose to field a second-string side minus several stars.

Nolito put the home side up within two minutes after skipping past several defenders, before firing home.

Gabriel Milito doubled the Catalan side's lead five minutes later when the Argentine found the back of the net from a corner.

The away side made life difficult for themselves as Vitor Moreno was given his marching orders for being the last man and bringing down Bojan Krkic in the penalty box.

The 20-year-old came to the spot, but failed to score and Ceuta managed to get a goal back in the 35th minute via Gilson de Guzman.

Pedro restored the two-goal lead five minutes after the restart and Krkic made it 4-1 just after the hour.

Lionel Messi rounded off the rout when he found the back of the net to make it 5-1 in the 67th minute.
