Barcelona Defender Maxwell Wary Of Inter Threat

European champions Barcelona travel to Italy next week to face Italian giants Inter in a much-anticipated Champions League clash, in which the ‘ex-factor’ will take centre stage.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Maxwell will come face-to-face with their former team-mates for the first time after their summer moves to the Catalans, and though the Swedish striker is doing his best to irritate the already resentful Nerazzurri supporters, the Brazilian is giving tips to new boss Pep Guardiola.

“Inter are a very solid side at the back,” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“They have physical strength and are tactically prepared. We will have to give our best if we want to get a positive result, because we will face a dangerous top-level team.

“Guardiola has asked me for some tips and it’s always nice to counsel your own coach.”

Maxwell had joined the Italian champions in 2006, but struggled to hold down a regular starting shirt under Jose Mourinho last term and opted for a fresh start in Spain this summer.
