Xavi has admitted that he is surprised by Zlatan Ibrahimovic's upbeat attitude, as he had been told that the Swede was a serious character.The Barcelona playmaker is pleased that the club's new striker enjoys a joke and has fitted in well with Pep Guardiola's squad after joining from Inter in the summer.
Ibrahimovic has made controversial statements in the past and has been accused of being aloof and arrogant, but Xavi does not believe that is the case at all.
"He is beginning an adventure that will last for five years," he told FIFA's official website.
"He has surprised me because he jokes a lot when I thought he would be more serious. Everyone said he was awkward but that is not the case. He is very likeable - he has adapted very well."
Ibrahimovic scored his second goal in as many games at the weekend as Barca beat Getafe.
