Russian Champions League hopefuls Rubin Kazan have received some disturbing news from the treatment table in the build-up toward Tuesday's away game against Barcelona.
They will be without the services of highly rated striker Aleksandr Bukharov due to a dislocated arm. Bukharov sustained the injury as Rubin beat FC Khimki 2-1 on Saturday to stay top of the Russian Premier-Liga.
Rubin Kazan have fared less well in their Champions League debut, though, and head to the Camp Nou bottom of the group and still in search of their first victory.
"It all ended a bit painfully. I pushed the ball forward and fell awkwardly after vying with a defender. I stretched my hand and fell on to it. Thankfully, I've only got a dislocated bone," said Bukharov to reporters.
