Valencia goalkeeper Cesar insists that his side can beat Barcelona when the two sides meet at the Mestalla on Saturday, and added that he believes Los Che can challenge for honours this season."Last year we showed that we were playing well, but we need to maintain these standards. We have to convince ourselves that it is possible [to win]," he told Super Deporte.
"The titles are difficult to win, but we will be there. Valencia always aspire to be there. It's not time to talk about it until February or March though."
The 38-year-old veteran will be hoping to keep his place between the sticks against the Blaugrana, after keeping a clean sheet in the 1-0 win over Racing Santander at El Sardinero last week, in what was his first league start of the season.
Cesar and Miguel Angel Moya are involved in a personal duel to attain the first choice spot in goal for Valencia, with coach Unai Emery undecided as yet on who to choose as the first choice 'keeper.
