Dmytro Chygrynskiy Trains With Barcelona For The First Time

Thursday, September 10, 2009

New signing Dmytro Chygrynskiy trained with his new Barcelona team-mates for the first time today since making his €25 million move from Shakhtar Donetsk.

Chygrynskiy watched the Blaugrana's opening Primera Division game from the stands at Camp Nou as they defeated Sporting Gijon 3-0 and afterwards linked up with the Ukraine for their World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Belarus.

His first training session as a Barcelona player included most of the first team squad, barring Lionel Messi and Daniel Alves who are not expected to return from international duty in South America until Friday afternoon.

Andres Iniesta and Rafael Marquez took a full part in training after being given the all-clear by the club's medical staff.

Pep Guardiola has nearly a full squad at his disposal ahead of Saturday's trip to Getafe. Gabriel Milito is still a long-term absentee but was at the training ground yesterday while Bojan Krkic is out with a thigh strain.
