Robinho Would Be A Great Signing For Barcelona - Dani Alves

Wednesday, October 14, 2009

Barcelona defender Dani Alves has admitted to the Spanish press that he would back the club's move for Robinho.

Alves believes that the Manchester City star would have no problems in meeting the standards that the Blaugrana set on the pitch, as he has seen his quality with the Brazilian national team.

"Robinho is a talented player and a great person," Alves told Sport.

"He is a player who would give us many different and wonderful things. If it's possible for him to come, I would welcome it."

The paper had previously reported that the Spanish champions were looking to bring Robinho in on loan in January, as they are unwilling to meet the €36 million asking price.

However, they are reportedly prepared to pay the player's wages - an estimated £160,000-a-week - while they would also have a clause that would allow them to buy the Brazilian at the end of the season.
